Default making a 96ci to a 103

i have a 2009 ultra with a stock 96ci stage 1, a fuelpak 3, and 22000 miles, I have a opportunity to purchase 2013 103 parts that came off a new bike the owner had a stage 5 installed before it left the dealer so all parts are new so to speak, guy wants me to make a reasonable offer on it, what is something like that worth and what else is needed to make that work? clutch compensator tune ? thanks in,advance also is that,a job that can be done bolt on in frame?

Go 107 with your jugs being bored. Lots of options going that route but imo return on investment and time to change the parts is minimum with the 103 stock stuff. Forum sponsors like veetwin, and hillside can help you out with info and your parts. Depends on budget and wants but possibilities are plentiful.

If you’re taking it apart I wouldn’t put it back together with stock parts.

96” to 103” with HC pistons and cams to match would make sense.

I did that upgrade on my 2010 ultra you would need to buy the pistons, jugs, wrist pins. If the heads at cheep enough get them too if not you can use your 96 heads, then I would look at s&s easy start cams I used the 551ez recommended by Vance & Hines that cam in in their maps then you will need to put a heavy duty clutch spring in I ices the s/e spring. All that. And a few days in the garage and you’ll be happy. Of course it’s all relative to the cost compared to the 107 kit if you choose to go that way. I did notice a nice difference with th upgrade

The reason I went with the easy start cams is I didn’t want to put the acr’s In the heads now I used my 96 heads his 103 heads may still have the in them

Just get the barrels and heads from him.

Get cams of your choice.

Higher Comp Pistons of your choice.

Street Port the Heads.

Let me know if you need more help spending cash.

Offer him 350.00 cash, but don't expect to get a fire breathing Harley using stock parts. You wont find very much difference between a stock 96 and a stock 103.
