I tried posting this earlier but got blasted for it because it's in the wrong section. I have an 03 FLHPI road king and I want to order the brown diamond stitch mustang wide tripper solo. When I put FLHRI in the search engine at J&P it comes up. When I put FLHPI in the search engine it said it won't fit my bike. If anyone has a police model and put this seat on or has insight into if this seat will fit after I remove the air ride and brackets please let me know. Thanks in advance for your input and sorry in advance if I f#@ked up where I should post this again 😁
They claim it won’t fit because they assume you would be leaving the police seat air, bracket, spring setup. Kinda like looking for a detachable tour pak kit for an 08 and down ultra....says it won’t fit but if you make some mods it will. In your case, the mods will require removal of the police style setup.

Thank you!! Curious, should I put a piece of thin foam over the batter since I'll have to delete the plastic cover under the seat?
Another option would be to have your seat redone in the brown color. That way you could keep the police seat which is really comfortable. If you are set on the mustang it will work after you remove the police stuff.
To be honest I was looking at those too and was going back and forth between their low profile solo and the tripper. I've heard great things about both. And it's not that I don't like the comfort of my police seat I just really hate being "on top" of the bike if that makes any sense. Looking to get lowered into the frame and back maybe an inch. Other than that I like my stock seat, I can flat foot the bike well because I'm 6'2"
I ditched the one on my 05...my 30" inseam an that seat didn't get along. Just had to remove the bracket, shock thingy, an plastic pan that covers the battery. Guess you either love them or hate them.

Thats exactly why I got the C&C...
1 down and back! It feels more like 1.5 - 2 down I definitely feel in the bike instead of on it. Best way to describe is I feel like Im back on Fatboy instead of 10 up in the air like Im riding a horse.
