Default Speakers - Is there a difference???

I am looking at replacing my factory speakers, 2007 FLHTC, and don't know which ones to get. I see people have Hogtunes on their signatures. Are these the way to go? What about J & M? They are always at Black Hills Harley during Sturgis, and being the consumate sales people they say that they are it. What do I do?

I have J&Ms up front on my Ultra. They are much better than the OEM ones. However, I wish I had gone with HogTunes speakers. The Hog Tunes sound much better to me.

Hogtunes or J&M are the way to go.

Can not go wrong with either one, both sound great. Some like one better than other. It is just your personal taste.

To my ear there'snotmuchdifference between the the 2. I run Hogtunes and a riding buddy has the J&M'son his RG. We swap bikes regularly just to change things up a bit. My HT's might have a slight edge in the bass department and the J&M's sound a tad cleaner when cranked. I'm sure you would be happy with either one, there both a huge improvment over the crappy stockers. We both run the HogTune amp but when the new J&M's came out hemoved his HT's to the rear to give them a try.

I can tell you Pez with Hog Tunes will take care of you... even years down the road you have problems call him then.

bkpa ,,,,,,

you will be very impressed with these pasted below from the Harley Classics page on the J&M website ,,,,,,

have a good week ,,,,,,

High Performance Fairing Speaker Upgrade for ’06 and later Harley ElectraGlide

HCUS-06GT

If you want to make the most dramatic change possible to the music quality and audio power from your fairing-mounted speakers, then replace the stock units with a set of our high-performance models.

They have been designed specifically for the 2006 and later HarleyÂŽ Electra Glide/Ultra/Street Glide fairing and feature a waterproof injection molded polycarbonate cone woofer , high-flux strength Neodymium magnet, high efficiency voice coil and a replacement grill set with mounted chrome tweeters.

Spec’d at 2 ohms impedance and 140+ watts power, you will be impressed by the significant improvement in bass response, midrange clarity, audio power and overall fidelity.

Their mounting hole pattern and spade electrical connections are exactly the same as the factory specification, making replacement a snap.
