Default 2017 road glide start button not working

I have a 2017 road glide, the start button and right turn signal button won’t work. Fuel pump comes on but if I turn the kill switch on the bars it won’t turn on again until pull the 50a fuse out for a few seconds. Everything is working but the start button and right turn signal. Has aftermarket bars, and radio. Everything has been working fine for months. Parked for two weeks and now it won’t start.

What is the 50A fuse for? Did you check your battery voltage?

I believe that is a CAN BUS bike and I have no idea if it even has a start relay. Anything electrical AFTER a bar change is likely a wire that got pinched during reassembly, or a plug not properly connected. While it could be the start switch itself, I more suspect a pinched wire in the RUN/STOP switch triggering something in the ECM. Pulling the big CB resets things until vibration again triggers your problem. Too much "magic" in the CAN BUS system.

I have taken apart the control cluster on the bars and no wires are bare. Took off the front fairing, both side panels, and seat, unplugged every plug I could find made sure no pins were bent and plugged them back up. Battery has 12.8v. Bike is in neutral, pulled clutch in. Tried with the bike in gear and clutch pulled. Didn’t want to take it to Harley because I’m supposed to leave for bike week next week and I’m sure they will keep it a while.

Perhaps someone at Bike Week can figure it out...if you get that far.
