The baisley spring is a awesome upgrade. I would put it in any camplate I ever open again. The stock spring is a sad looking competition for a ball point pin.

I don't care. Oil light comes on you shut the machine down. It could be to late already. You can run a machine pretty low on oil and not have light come on.

I did it on my 01 when I built the engine. I believe Harley incorporated it at some point. My 07 doesn't have the TC tick. I doubt most of the people even know what the TC tick is anymore. But it was a big discussion at one point.

FWIW: the oil light comes on when pressure drops below 5 psi. If the light is off above idle and not far from home base I wouldn't hesitate to ride it there. Most system only have 10 psi anyway. I've seen a lot of like situations in the 57 + years I've been riding.
But i'll defer to those more knowledgeable than myself.

If you are stuck in traffic and it gets really hot and does that, than I would ride it. If oil light comes on for no reason. I killing engine and the very least checking oil level. Engines are expensive.

@Zerk oil light didn't kick on until I pulled back into my driveway. Thankfully. That's why I check the oil. I mentioned it was only a quart low as to have that a eliminated to the cause. After I stopped off the light didn't come on until I had to come to a stop at the stop sign 1/4 mile up the road. Since i noticed the pressure stayed up while moving so i babied it back down the road to the house.

A weak lifter will give a knock sound until the pressure comes back up.
