I put a JVC KD-X35MBS marine unit when I did my 4 speakers and amp, and would never go back. Sun does not make the screen hard to read since it's ment to be in the sun, and all my handle bar controls work. Love being able to leave my phone in my tour pack and I can choose songs and play lists and it never cuts out/skips, and scrolls what is playing on the screen. Plus you can change the colors to match the back lights perfectly. Been caught in the rain a few times and no issues. Ordered most of it on crutchfield.

I have the aquatic unit and am fairly happy with it. It's pricey and I bought the cheaper unit of the two. I was extremely pissed that it said it plays MP3's and in reality, it doesn't. Since it said it plays MP3's, I wanted to load a USB drive with MP3's and just leave it in one of the USB cords inside behind the face plate. Those cords are for charging only. They won't read a file off a USB drive. You have to buy the more expensive unit for that. I ended up buying a cheap MP3 player that had bluetooth. Another minor disappointment is you loose the auto volume feature. Exit the highway and come to a stop, you have to manually turn it down. The sound on the aquatic is decent and they have improved the display so it's easy to see in the sun. It's plug and play with the handlebar controls and supposed to be waterproof. As I said, I'm fairly happy with it.

+1 on this. I've had mine for a couple of months and love it. Installation is simple.

Thanks guys. You've answered my questions. Think I'll try the JVC marine unit. Most affordable option and it sounds like it does what I want it to. Really appreciate the input everyone.

If you order from crutchfield the mounting bracket and such comes with it, just need the handle bar controller which they also sell.
