Default Hydraulic Clutch '19 FLHTCU

It's just me, not the bike. I just can't seem to get the hang of this clutch. I've always had cable clutches. You can feather them. The hydraulic clutch can be feathered to a point, but then goes into full engagement. If it doesn't get better, I'm considering converting back to a cable, I just have to figure out which previous system will work. Any ideas on what year will work?

You’re not alone. It’s the only thing about my bike that I dislike.

It seems like mine was like that for about the first 1500 miles, but it's all good now.

The PSR adjustable clutch lever is what worked for me. The Oberon did not work for me because my setting for it did not allow the bike to start in gear.

When I rode one it wasn’t so much the feathering that was difficult but the fact that the engagement was almost all the way out. Maybe adjustable levers that bring it closer to the grip would be better. One thing I felt was that once I was rolling the lever needed so little movement I could shift really quickly.

It took me a long time to get used to the hydraulic clutch, but now everything is fine. Give it some time and go into a parking lot and work with it

The adjustable clutch levers will help you with the engagement point. I found no difference in my 17 FLTRU compared to my 13 FLSTN once I installed the adjustable clutch. Another thing to consider is the AIM Lightforce Slave Cylinder. Between these two options, I think you'll get your clutch where you want it. I certainly thing it's better to try these than convert to a cable clutch. I'm not even sure it's possible on a 19.

I rode a 19 Street Glide this weekend for a good part of the day, I got a little better with that clutch but didn't really care for it much. Hope you either get use to it or find the right adjustment.
