Is it just me? OR is anyone else here having issues with Baker ...
I ordered over 1 month ago, they promptly charged my C.C., and then went silent after I asked for an ETA.
NO email reply, NO phone call back's (even left messages) 2X.
If you go on the driveline forum- you will see you are not the only one getting nowhere. I ordered my comp. 6 1/2weeks ago- still no eta- still no idea- just left hanging in the wind. Yes they charged my CC instantly though. Maybe Bert Baker needed a vacation on our dime! I feel like ive been taken for a sucker.
I just called and emailed to CANCEL my order, will see how or IF they bother replying to that request...
a little up front honesty with customers go a long way...
Since the used Harley market has gone into the toilet...you can't think that a business that sells parts.... that cost more than the bike they are going on is worth...can be doing well financially...

Please update and let us know what Baker says or does- id like to know what kind of fight im gonna get in if i decide to cancel.
Since 2015, I've been trying to resolve a starter drive/ring gear issue on Baker SBD (Synchronous Belt Drive). I've gone through 6 drives and 3 ring gears.. Sent it back 3 times, on their dime and never corrected... At one point I pointed out to Mark (with pictures) that the clutch hub bearing was not making contact with the the hub race (they did repair that for free).. I paid $2600.00 for this belt drive and it's been nothing but headaches.. I currently have a 5/8"x5" bolt screwed into the end of the starter drive so I can manually set the drive and then hit the starter button.. It works but I shouldn't have to do that.. At Baker they said they have set it up to their newer softail and have no issues what so ever.. I must say, they say they tried everything to resolve it but I still have the same issue... Funny thing is they told me they've sold a lot of these drives and never had this issue but when I try to find someone online that has used one on their bike but I can't get a single response... I'll get a pic posted up later of "The Bolt"

That's probably an accurate observation. I have a good friend that owns a business selling restoration parts for classic and muscle cars. He's told me his business has really slowed down the past couple of years. Besides the few diehards, no one wants to restore an old car anymore. Doesn't make financial sense. A used late model car is fairly cheap, fast, stops well, dependable, gets great gas mileage, AC works well, rides great, decent stereo, etc.
