I just got off the phone with Mike at ST again after going out and trying what he suggested to diagnose the issue with the reverse. He wanted me to try rocking the bike to see if it would help it go into reverse. So this trick works most of the time and a few times I had to pop the clutch a little to make it go. But the good news is that it isn't a issue a will wear in as I use it. I am real happy with it so far and can't wait to get out and try it some more.
Well I just got home from my trip to South Dakota and the bike ran great with no issues with bike as a whole.
Now for the bad news...........
Something happened to the reverse while I was on the trip. Been talking with ST and they are going to repair whatever is broken which is great but my bike will down for the 7-8 days it takes to ship the part to them and then 1 day shop and 3 days back to me. Noah says he isn't sure what could have happened but that it won't take long for him to repair it if possible and then if not they will send me a new unit.

Did reverse simply stop working or something worse?

The way this reverse is made from my understanding is it defaults to normal forward operation if something goes wrong.
In my case the bike won't go into reverse now. After talking with ST they are not sure what could be wrong but something is broken inside the pulley. I rode the bike back from South Dakota with no issues except I couldn't use reverse.
I assume you have rulled out all of the likely suspects; like air leak, bad electrical connection, etc.
When you attempt to put it into reverse what is happening step by step.
Neutral...push button and hold for about 3 seconds...What happens?
If compressor runs for a few seconds and stops (as normal), and then you put it into first...What happens?
If 1 & 2 seems normal but still in forward, I betting the little sliding thing in the axle is stuck.
I'm sure Noah has suggested this, but just to be sure you should check the air pressure...I believe it needs 100 PSI to move the slide thing.
Yes all these things have been ruled out as being a issue. When talking with Noah he thinks something broke inside the MRP. When I activate the reverse the rear tire is being bound up so when I let the clutch out it will try to go forward but if I was to let the clutch out enough it would stall the engine. So he feels a tooth or something has broken inside. I haven't gotten the bike torn down yet becaue I've been having issues with my back since I got home. I'm hoping I'll get it taken apart tonight but am not sure.

I used AIM-MAMBA reverse. It has nice gear reduction i didnt even remove my exhaust or floorboards. Just the heat sheilds. It has soft shear-off keys invase you use first and reverse. Took 4 hours to install by myself. I have since done two friends bikes with same results

Thats incase you use first and reverse. Put heat shields back on after install and plenty of clearance
Glad I checked the thread, old age and Uncle Arthiritis been gaining ground where I will likely be headed down this very path. Thanks to all for the information presented and all the positives/negatives in a friendly manner, some of these can be real pizzing matches.
I got my bike torn down today and got the M.R.P. shipped back to Yelvington to be repaired. Now before anyone rips on them for this breaking I am still happy with the kit and am glad I spent the money on it. Once Noah gets it torn down and figures out what happened I can report as to what happened. I would still recommend this kit to others. After looking at all the kits and discussing all the options I think I made the right choice.
Once I got the bike apart I also found out I had picked up a little gift. I have no idea when or where I picked it up but I am really glad I didn't have a flat. While I have a tire plug kit and compressor I don't relish the idea of fixing a flat on the side of the road.
