Well, I've been bouncing back and forth. The looks of an older RK vs the ergonomics of the newer RK. I looked at and did a very short (in congested town traffic) test ride 2014 FLHR. Awesome condition, 25k mi, , got a batwing type fairing with stereo (that's coming off). Very let down I found out bank has his title . He gave me his acct details, gonna try to get through red tape tomorrow. Out of state loan. Hope it don't take too long!? $10k. Here she is..
.
whaddayall think?
Looks good, lose the fairing, it's not meant to be on the King, I went with a SGS for the fairing, getting long in the tooth and wanted a wind blocker, but sure do wish the SGS came with the fat tire up front.

Patience pays off. Hard not to love the Road King...
I picked up a 2011 in Green Apple/Vivid Black a few years back - I've always had a thing for that green... As soon as I got it home, it went on the jack and I promptly gave it a thorough refresh.

I like that ALOT! Kinda got a thing for that color too.
If / when this deal happens, I'll more than likely tighten up the pursestrings. Lol. (3 bikes? Might sell fxr, idky). I HAVE to right away get the regular RK windshield (don't look to pricey?), The chrome covers for the passenger FOOTBOARDS, and just a different a/c cover. Maybe chrome round bar and shield logo....ANYWAYS...... What can I do to get a little sound out of that stock exhaust? For now.
I appreciate it. Sounds like a mere majority likes the oldies. I agree too, but I'm happy for the 14. Bigger motor, no tensioner or comp probs (chances are?) Hope it turns out to be a great bike! Got a few mods in mind already.
