RoadKing appearance opinions please?
You will love your 2014 for sure, and like most of us I'm sure you will customise it to your style and so it handles the best for you.
I would say stock 2014 will ride better "out of the box", since the pre-14 handlebars were terrible (I remember reading about it all over the internet and maybe one guy liked them). And I can say those 14+ handlebars are really nice since I had them on my king, just didn't like the looks.

The Best of Harley-Davidson for Lifelong Riders
I have ridden all my life (since I was 15 and I'll be 65 this coming March). But I have been out of the game for about 7 years. I live in Southern California and missed riding so I decided sometime back I was going to get me another bike, and this time it would be a Road King. A bagger was my target ... I've had the fairing and the bucket, but I didn't want it this time. I wanted something I could scoot around 95% of the time and -if- I decided on a long trip I could throw a rack on the back or a bucket and pack some crap.
At my age, it doesn't make sense to to buy a new bike, so I started looking used. I could have bought a rich guy's anything I wanted, but in the end I bought someone's babied '96 (so Evo) weekend toy with only 15K miles on it. I love the bike, and its perfect for me for the rest of days riding a two-wheeler.
I think I won ... but only because I was in no hurry to buy, stood my ground on wanting a bagger, and just waited for the right one. Yeah, she's a little old ... but I'm old. So?
And yes, I did notice, that in this picture ... the ignition is still on (headlight). Like I said, a while out of the game.
