Kermie,
I've looked in to the Quiet Baffles, from research and talking with the Service Department, there some question about being able to get the ends off without doing damage to put the quiet baffles in. Plus what I've read, they only drop the sound by ~5db, I'm not sure that's enough to keep my ears from ringing after a couple hundred miles. Service also talked about the V&H Slash Cuts being a little quieter that what I have. I appreciate your knowledge
Remember, a 3db reduction means the sound is perceived to be half as loud, so 5db is pretty significant.
Fuel moto street outlaw's seem to be pretty popular. I have only heard videos but they sound pretty tame with the inserts in place and the price is not bad either.
Had V&H Monster Rounds on my 2011 RK. They were great with V&H Power Dual headers. Exactly what you're looking for.
Now I have Rinehart Motopro 4.5 on my Ultra. Little louder, but still fine.
DO get good earplugs. The wind noise will get you if the exhaust doesn't. After a lifetime of riding, I've got tinnitus and hearing loss described as 'profound'. Not fun at all, especially as I love music and I can't hear it properly anymore.
everyone that has street cannons seems to love them. If I come across a set of CVO slip on's I'm gonna try them with the Fullsac baffles. I hear that's a nice combo for power since I will be getting a dyno tune next spring.
I have fairly severe hearing loss. I always ride with a full face helmet and earplugs. With a sena or cardo system I can hear my music just fine. They also make long trips much less tiring. I use the ones with the holes in them. Eargasm ear plugs.
