Default Feel scatches

Unfortunately, buffing them out with a wheel or polishing sander, then sending the part out to be rechromed for scratches that deep..would appear to be the soultion.

try some steel wool first. double 00 then go over that with some flitz it may not be perfect but should clean it up a bit. don't use anything very abrasive.

You unbolt it and replace it.

Unfortunately this is so far the best advice. As for trying to polish it out......use cloth and semi-chrome poish (or the likes). Avod steel wool or green scrubby pads. Theres nothing worse than make a few deep scratches into a hundred tiny little ones.

I tied 000 steel wool w/Windex. Cleaned everything up nicely. But didn't dent the scratches. I guess I'll just live with it. Going to get a price on re-chrome on Tuesday.
Any guesses on that cost? Probably more than it's worth.....
