Correct,Ifyou still have buffeting with a correct screen. The wind comes from between the stansions and around the tank.It hits your chest and bobbles your head. Cross your left arm over your belly and your head will be steadied
Then you go to your shop and buy the Harley dish deflector which nobody knows about, that bolts on under the lower tripple tree.I have transferred my 2010 unit on to all 6 of my upgrades and even modified the bolt holes to fit the 2018 SGS Milwaukee.
MAGIC !
On a side note, I put on a full face helmet last week end because of the cold. After all my mods to eliminate buffeting, buffet with the full face, zero buffet with a half helmet.

This. With a full face helmet you want laminar flow hitting you at about eye level, think CalSci.
So my 2 cents. I’m 5’5 and just traded in a 14 Ultra Limited that I lowered for a 19 Electra Glide Standard. I just didn’t need all the “stuff” that comes on the Ultra. Anyway, the head buffeting was unbelievable at all speeds above 20kph. 3 Windscreens, Triple Tree Deflector, Fangs, Mustang Seat that I cut down (I am short) and now I can.get to 70kph before I can no longer see. All I have left now is to add the Lower Fairings. Gonna order in XFMT Lowers from Amazon and see what happens. I never had this problem on all my previous rides. Here’s hoping.

Be sure you order the same style as the newest lowers, and leave the fangs on. I have a Standard set up this way, using the stock windshield, and have no buffet with a 1/2 or 3/4 helmet. With a full face, bad buffet.
I installed a 11.5 inch Klockwerks Flare on my Ultra Classic and found a significant difference in buffeting and noise. Was able to hear the radio more than before, and a significant reduction in buffeting when at highway speeds behind trucks.
