Check the Run/Stop switch in the right switch housing. You might have bumped it without realizing it or someone walking by did you a "favor". After that I would also suspect the ignition switch. Have you done any recent work BEFORE the problem showed up?
First thing I would try is charging the battery, even though it’s new, It may be bad from the factory.
If thats not it, I would think a ground or the ignition switch.
it’s definitely something with the ignition system. I changed the ignition but still no go. The only power I’m getting is the red light blinking in the dash and if I press the odometer button, the screen lights up and show the mileage.
The BCM is connected to the Ign Switch and senses a current when it is in run or accessory. I'll post 2012 schematics and you can use a voltmeter to make sure the BCM is putting 12V to the switch. Look at the last drawing and check to make sure the BCM and fuse box are getting 12V through the Maxi fuse. Then pull the connector at the Ign switch and see if the W/BE wire has 12V. Ign Sw is bottom right B-10
You changed the ignition...WHAT, fuse, relay, switch? The symptom is that that the bike is powered as if the ignition switch is in the OFF position. Did the plug fall off the ignition switch? Have you checked the ignition switch function with an ohm meter? Still haven't confirmed in what position your RUN/STOP switch is in. Everything works great until it doesn't. What have you done with the bike in the recent past that might have come "undone"? Just because it ran fine for a few days or weeks before the failure doesn't mean that something you did earlier hasn't failed.now.
