I am not closing this thread. The engine builder has the right to reply if they choose to.
Complaining about something 7 years later is not a good look though.

I'm sure your cylinders and piston are toast after
Riding it 1,000 miles on a crap tune.
Not sure how the builder could set your ignition
Correctly without running the engine.
How much oil did you use in the 1,000 miles
Was it smoking or anything or just low on power and loud?

The builder I believe is banned on this site. I had jugs bored and heads done by him, after being patient (2 months) I called and they said they was wondering who's stuff it was . When I sent information with all kinds of contact information, that most of got lost.

My other build I dealt revolution performance prior and have been in the shop. They kept way better track of things and you get emails what going to be done before it starts. I have recommended them to others because the are way more preferable and the quality is there.

You would be surprised at how many well known shops
Have work done from Revolution performance or wards performance.
I know of a few that claim they port heads and stuff
But actually send them to rev performance or Wards
.but claim them as there head work.
Pretty much a dead giveaway when you walk in the
Shop and they don't have any machines or tools to do so.
They are just putting stuff together that was Machined
or bored from another service.
Do your home work before having a engine built.
visit the shop and see what kind of work they are doing.
Look around see what machines and tools they have.
Hell I know of one popular shop from the forums
That everybody was bragging about didn't even have a
Damn parts washer
Back in the day the good guys would hand port heads and bore cylinders.
Nowadays they got the fancy cnc machines .
I understand the small shops can't afford the fancy machines
And have to send work out which is fine.
But don't claim its done in house.
