Default Best battery

Good morning all. I have a 2011 Electra glide police model, and I need a new battery. What would be the best way to go? Thanks!

Agree on using search function here..... there are many threads that will provide answers, suggestions, and controversy on many issues... batteries, oil, gas, where to put your gas cap, tires, and on and on.....
Deka makes the HD batteries. I am fortunate enough to have a Deka distributor accross the street from my old place of employment (can't believe it's been a year since I've retired!) and they gave the employees the business discount. My last battery was a "new used" battery that had been sent to a dealer then returned after 8-9 months. They said the could give me a little bit of a deal.... $40 for the battery, with new battery warranty....could not get the money out fast enough!!! Been 2 years, so I'm clear of that!!! BUT.... do some searches....there are other vendors/suppliers of batteries... Deka is my preferred battery.

Best way to go? IMHO buy an AGM type - plenty of brands that make them. I recently bought a Yuasa for my Buell.

Best in longevity? Power? Price? Warranty? If I were going AGM,I’d go with Odyssey

I tend to go with Dekka and Yusa batteries.

For lithium....I do not recommend at least yet. Must have a special charger, much more expensive, don’t like cold, and give no warning before failure. They do offer weight savings...but that’s the only real benefit. They could certainly improve though....heck we all use to use 6 volt batteries and points ignition...look what we have now.

This. Seems to be a new battery thread every week, nobody searches.
