I've got a 95" build with heads and a cam. 105 ft/lbs torque. I'm still running the original stock clutch, but I'm taking a trip through the Rockies in May and I'm thinking it would be good to replace it before the trip. I've done all my own work but never a clutch. What's a good recommendation?
I run a stock clutch with a 95" motor of the same power with heads and cams, only mod is the SE spring and it has never slipped under load even two up and twisting the wick hard.
I have a 2004 RK. went to a 107 and when I did that I bought this AM007-480. Its a 480 Lb. clutch diaphragm Spring from AIM. Didn't change anything else and it worked perfect. I then went to a 110 and still run the same set-up, no problems at all. So it maybe a little over kill at 480 lbs but it does the trick and it was only $50.
Hi all,
My old 99 RKC w/ SE 95" w/ S&S 510 gear drive put out 106 ft lbs. Ran stock clutch all over the west. At 136k on the clock stock clutch was fine but rest was a little tired.....goldie
