You can go to Ronnies and put in the year and model and see the frame part numbers are different.

Yes I use Ronnies a lot but if there was just one tab change on the frame it would be a different part number
Thanks

Winter Questions

This year i'll turn over 100,000 on the bike and have been thinking what I want future wise

Build my motor into a nice 107 --$4000 or so

Trade in for new ---$16-20,000 diference

Or drop in a new 131 M8 ----$8-10,000

Yeah, the M8 isn't fitting.

Either build yourself a 107 or, you could build yourself a 131" from an S&S block. Gonna run you close to 10-13K when you're done though.

Just get a new bike for 16-20K if you can swing it. 11 years newer, my man.

I personally would not hop on the "no way train" until I researched a little further. I have put many of parts from the 17 & 18 models on my 08 model that fit without a issue even though they carried totally different part numbers. One thing about the MoCo they are more interested in adding more lipstick than any other thing. I would bet the frames on the new bikes are the same frame they came out with in 09. I have not heard of any "new" frames since the induction of the M-8 and something tells me you would have heard about a major change such as this.

Not from the horse's mouth, but it was always my understanding that the frame was changed in 2017 to accommodate the M8 engine. Also not from the horses mouth, look a posts 7 & 8 here: https://www.hdforums.com/forum/new-r...me-update.html
