Default What GoPro Mount?

I have a 2019 RGS and decided I want to record my forthcoming road trip to Sturgis and beyond using a mounted GoPro.
I do have 14" apes and was thinking about using the RAM mount that bolts through the front brake reservoir as this would allow the camera to clear my windscreen ( https://www.rammount.com/part/RAM-B-174-GOP1U ) however, I am not sure this will fit, has anyone any experience using this mount on later touring bikes?

Or have anyone other recommendations, I ideally want the camera within easy reach and able to see camera is recording. My bars do not have room to mount a clamp between bend and brake reservoir mount.

As I have a RAM mount that came with my sat nav I use that. The mount on the handlebars is with a U bracket.

https://www.tomtom.com/en_gb/sat-nav...cts/rider-550/

Scroll down to see what's in the box.

The main part of the RAM mount I think is what you want to use in the lever mount. If it works, good else use the u bracket.

Techmount has a GoPro direct to control mount here. They also have a handlebar mount that will fit the fat bars, if you want to go that route.

Not sure if HogTag will work on your mirror stem, but they have one here. I'm not sure if the mirror stem needs to be round, but you can ask them.

Some folks won't agree with this idea but I've done it before and it works. Just adhere the adhesive mount to the to top of your fairing. The tape can be removed ( patiently ) and it will not ruin/mar your paint. I've moved/replaced so many mounts on my Shoei helmet and lowers that I can't count them. JMO......

Ram do a really neat ball mount, which uses a single clamp screw to hold it on, I use one on my Sporty for a gps mount. A darned sight smarter and more discrete than the usual eye-sore of a U-bolt clamp. They also do a neat two-part clamp which uses two screws and almost as neat. Check their catalogue.

If you go to their website, they also show you how to build a mount for your device and application:

I use a camera mount from RickRak.com . It uses one of the screws from the fairing.

Set you camera up before hand in a spot that works. This way you don't have to see what it recording when recording. I have ram mount in many different locations for different views. Mounting locations: helmet(gopro sticky), handlebar by windscreen, under TourPack, low on crashbar, rear crashbar, next to front forks.

I use one of these as I need to move my Zumo GPS between 3 different motorcycles.

Tough Claw Base. Then you can get

https://www.rammount.com/shop-all/ram-tough-claw/bases

Then you can get the socket arm length you need to view over the windscreen and any components needed to mount your GoPro

I mounted mine of top of my engine guard. I like that perspective for riding shots.
