Hi
Has anyone put 12" apes on an 07 Ultra without having to extend the wiring, or replace the cables?
It can be done but I recommend wire extensions in case you change your mind to go bigger in the future. Wire extensions aren't that expensive and you have to remove the connectors anyway to run the wires through the bars.
I just did 12 inchers on my 06 and had to replace Idle, throttle, clutch cables and front brake lines as well. However I did not have to extend the wiring. Cut the zip ties that secure the connectors behind the fairing and just route them up to meet the connectors coming out of the bars. 12 inches is the max bar height you can go and get away with this.

Ride safe!!
thanks, the expensive part is the cables and brake lines, I wouldn't mind having to extend the wires as I'd like them internal.
its doable but its going to take some re-routing and it may look funky. Check out Namz for plug and play extensions. check out wild 1 for handlebars and for your clutch and brake etc. id check out Barnett.
