Question for the fat cat installers who did it themselves. I got the old exhaust off last night but can't get the head gaskets to stay in place while I try and maneauver the exhaust into place without scratching everything to bits. Any tips?
Second question. Also installed the ANBS. Am I right in seeing that you no longer use the breather tubes?
I'm assuming you're talking about the exhaust gaskets. The SE exhaust gaskets fit snug into the exhaust ports on my bike. I'm also assuming you are trying to put the gaskets on the ends of the exhaust before installing. Put the gaskets into the ports first and thenfit the pipe in place.
I don't know about the rest of you, but I use only the conical lead gaskets that Harley uses (OEM). I used the SE gasket and thought that the conical gave a better form fit. I know they are about $1 more but having to take the pipe off again due to an exhaust leak is worth the $1 extra.

I was told the same thing by Phil and Bryan when We done My build and they've tried it all.The parts guy at the Harley shop told Me the same thing.
