Does anybody have an explanation for this?? & I know everyone will be telling me that they get 45-50 mpg, well I sure dont get anything close to that. PO had her tuned rich & she runs great & not hot at all. 103 ci, 09 ultra classic, SE Slip ons, kuryakyn bahn AC, SE Super Tuner Pro
You get terrible mileage for a 103 (or a 110, or a 114, or a 117, or a 120...etc). Seriously you are not getting better mileage at high speed, you are simply getting less bad mileage. Most stage 1 Harleys pull well over 40 mpg. My stage 2 117 averages around 45 - 50 on the highway.
Your bike is not tuned rich it is tuned billionaire..... and that is not necessarily a good thing.

FWIW - OP - When I had a similar setup to yours on my stock 103, I was at 40 mpg. Might I suggest you get that sled to a good tuner?
And really keep an accurate log on mpg for a few weeks.

Seems straightforward if you don't have to keep slowing and accelerating your mpg should be better.
no, the 29 mpg tanks were going to my old job in south Scottsdale. Pretty much a clusterf*ck of red lights & stop signs. I understand that one but usually 30-32 mpg. 510g cams also I forgot to mention.

You also didn't mention if you only use your front tire for parking. How the right wrist is used contributes greatly to fuel economy or lack there-of.

Oh I accelerate like a grandpa, rarely get above 3500 rpm. It certainly isnt the wrist eating up fuel mileage. I mainly commute as my commute is 42 miles round trip. I can say thank you coronavirus for cutting my commute from an hour to 27 minutes.

Ok sounds about right, actually for stock that sounds a bit low. I have 510g cams also so I realize that's part of it.

I have the super Tuner pro, just need the cables. Wouldn't mind doing an auto tune or two. But I'm a big believer in, 'if it ain't broke...'

I was able to 50 mpg on a KLR650 I had but that was it. I don't buy into these stories about guys getting 50 on a bagger

I actually got my one & only DUI on a KLR 650 🤣😂 I had an Intruder 800 that was about 48mph, a 1400 Intruder that was maybe 45 mpg, my SV1000S is very close to 50 but it's also like only 425 lbs. So today I'm staying out of the HOV & keep her about 75 & see how this tank goes.
