Switched to 12” KST bars. Everything works but now I Notice the bike seems to Idol high for 45 seconds then goes to normal every time it’s fired up even after running Never done it before / or didn’t notice it.

 

Did you switch grips? I noticed that the Avon grips didnt quite fit on my Paul Yaffe bars and were sticking and doing the same thing. When you twist throttle, does it snap right back into place? If yes (and hydraulic clutch), I suspect that might be the case. If cable throttle, I would check the cables. Either way, try removing the switch housing and make sure everything is lined up correctly.

 

Try sliding the grip back a hair or the whole switch housing.

 

Worth trying that first, as the twist-grip may be binding on the end of the bar.

 

Just did mine too, Throttle was sticking. Had to readjust my thumb screw that holds the throttle open at cruise, Not sure if yours has that but make sure its loose.

 

Sounds like the grips not on properly or does not fit the bar properly to me. See if you can adjust that.
