I've been around HDF long enough to know that many buyers get their shocks with HD springs, which are intended for heavy duty, in other words heavy riders. It would be worth contacting Progressive to see if they have a more suitable spring , as they seem to be good at helping customers.
I have the front cartridges and they are on the firm side. I also have the rear piggybacks and love them. Very nice compared to the ohlins blacklines they replaced.

I went with the standard spring, 13 inch on my cvo street glide and I love everything about them. In some of the other threads there seems to be a lot of heart ache about where they are or are not made, I dont give a rat's a$$ where they are made, #'s 1-3 is what's important to me! Good luck sir!
I have them and to be short, they are pretty awesome. They have some kind of "bypass tech" inspired by trophy truck suspension.
Whatever it is, it makes for an incredible ride. Just floats right over washboard roads which was exactly what I wanted them to achieve. The backroads here which I take to work everyday are old and incredibly rough....
