Yes, do check the cam tensioners. You can upgrade them easily. Might as well do a nice torquey cam change while addressing the tensioners. I had an 04 EGC and bumped it to 95 and a gear drive cam. Loved that bike.
After pulling in at 1130 last night and making a mess of my trailer and driveway I finally got things cleaned up and made some space to move it around.
Man she is sweet!! You got a good one...... Treat her right and she'll do the same for you!
Just a comment from a viewer of your bike and previous user of that same RKClassic Seat ...
If your going to keep using that seat, you might think about getting a Strap. You don't even need to attach it at it's mounts (I just tucked the ends under the seat). They always look "Unfinished" to me when I see the Strap "Passages/Tunnels", but without the Strap.
Also be conscious of the Hard Bag lid Edge rubbing on that seat's Trim "Flap"
.

Threw a plate on it and rode to work. Weather's nice so the cops have way more **** to look out for. Bike rides awesome on the highway. Only looked for 6th gear once 😎
Looks great! 05 King up here in Enfield. Tensioners are wearing but still in limits. That’s my fall project to replace the shoes and keeps the stock cams. I’m sure we will cross paths this summer!
I like it. Beautiful bike brother. My 1999 RK has the stock tensioners and so far so good. I check them every 10K miles. When the time comes I'll change the shoes myself.
