I sat with a guy on a plane the week before that ended up being a HD sales manager leaving the dealer meeting here in Nashville. I picked his brain on several things and one of those were replacement tires and which was the best. He told me to stick with the dunlops because they were the only tire that was designed for the rim to fit into when there is a flat. All other tires would kick to one side of the rim or the other., this causing a very unsafe condition.
I have had a blow out with flop's. It did not separate from the rim and I brought it to a safe controlled stop from 70, two up. Based on that, I would say he was right.
It's true, and don't use any oil except Syn III. BS on the fitment. While Lops may be designed to stay put in a blowout, It's NOT true others can't do the same. BS on this one.
