I couldn't figure out how to post the actual video, but here is a link to it on YouTube:

"I turn on bike, push throttle and disable the EITMS. I turn off bike, turn it back on and push throttle and see that the EITMS is disabled. Before I turn off the bike, I push the throttle and now enable EITMS. Turn the bike off, turn it back on, and push the throttle forward. The EITMS is disabled... by logic, this means that the bike automatically defaults itself to EITMS enabled when it is shut down."

Yes, it does.
I had a 2010 Street Glide, so I know how the 2010 touring bikes worked.

Go back are read the instructions that skratch put up in post #10

Try this.....turn it off.......drive the bike and verify it doesn't engage. Shut the bike off and park it. Then, when you start the bike again, just ride it. It should still be off. Everytime you're "checking" it....you're turning it back on.

You don't use the throttle to "check" to see if it's on or off. By turning the throttle, you are literally turning it on and back off again over and over.

For whatever reason this came to mind: Sorry. Just making light of it all.

I'm sticking with your response. Maybe when the apocalypse is over I will head down to the dealership and see if they can make it the way I want it to behave without charging me.

Which is incorrect for your year of bike (or any year of bike). Let us know how it goes though and good luck..

Yeah that's it, just ignore the advice from multiple users that know how the system works.

I'm sorry if I confused you , the dealership will end up doing the exact procedure that Skratch posted #10 , something you can do yourself . Although , it's not going to hurt to have them walk you through it ,
