You are so correct....as they say:Beauty is in the eye of the beholder!

IMHO the SG looks naked with out the passing lamps. However, and not meanig to hijack this thread, visibility is the much more important reason for adding passing lamps.

The added front lights on my bike is for the "being seen" visability. Three (3) or more lights is better than a single headlight. Tells the oncoming traffic you are a MC and not a car with a headlight out. I actually have seven (7) white driving lights facing forward along with fairing trim lights. The added lighting for night time riding idoes not hurt either.

Having been behind other stock SG's I was aware how inadequate their rear lighting is, especially during the day. So, for similar reasoning, I have added a lot more rear lighting and have gotten very good comments from other riders who have been behind me.

I have also added front fork and rear saddle bag Run/Turn lights so I'm more visible to intersecting traffic.

My belief is no one should be able to claim they did not see me.

Thanks for all the replies everyone. Ron750 you are correct, I meant my toy budget is gone! I am super excited to get my new bike. I am headed out of town for the next two weeks with my family, and wouldn't be riding anyway. Once I get back, I will be leaving for the black hills 3 weeks later. I won't be out there for much of the rally, but will catch the first two days. I cannot wait to grab the new bike and do some riding!

Here it is! Had a blast putting on the first 2k miles. Added a stage one with VH Torquer 450’s. LEDs all around, and 12” kst mayhem bagger bars...and Brodie stripes and tank/fender art.

Looks great! The pinstripes are a tasteful subtle enhancement.

My guess is he does. I am 5'6", maybe 5'7", and the stock one gave me a headache with only 5 freeway miles on a test ride os an SGS. Unless he is 5'5" or less, or likes having his brain scrambled above 50 mph, he will most likely swap for a taller one. I sure did on my Ultra.

Come on, tell the truth, you like seeing three of everything, as your head bounces around.....lol. Glad it works for ya. My test bikes sure didn't. I learned s bit a while back. Have a cousin, that's 6' tall, but has a 34 or 35" inseam. Long legs and short body. His head sits about the same height as mine, but he has a lot more leg.

I think my legs must be kinda short, cause I tend to need more windshield.

Congratulations Relbus on your new Street Glide Special. What decal do you have on the side of the tank?
Cheers
