Default Street Glide Special Vibration
I just upgraded from a M8 107 Deluxe to a new 2020 Street Glide Special. I love the bike but there is one slightly annoying thing. There is a lot of engine vibration from around 1500-2000 rpm. No vibration at idle.None at acceleration. It is smooth downshifting above 2k rpm but when decelerating (off the throttle and engine breaking) in the 1500-2000 rpm range there is a lot of vibration. I thought it might be the clutch but it happens in neutral if reving it in that range as well. I talked to a service guy at a Harley dealership and he said that was normal.

Is this normal for this model?

it's brand new, take it in to be looked at. my 2016 SGS only vibrates at idle, dead smooth after, and from I have read, the M8 is a large improvement over the Twin Cam in vibes, so, it appears something is amiss with your new bike...

Correct, it should never be operating in that RPM range.

Agreed on the engine breaking part of this but it does it also while in neutral and revving it to those RPM so that is not lugging the engine in that case.

Are the M8 softtails still a rubber mount? if so, thats why you notice the vibration on the SG as its a solid mount.
