I just bought the short rubber antennas and want to know how to take off my old ones so the news ones will fit.

there is a little hex set screw holding the whips in place. Use the hex key that came with your new antennas and loosen it up, remove the old, put on the new.

You can take the new ones back to the store. Just cut your old ones down and stick em back in.

Akitakoi, Not all of us like the whip antennas that come on the bike. I for one prefer the short rubber ones that don't flop around everywhere. Just my 2 cents worth.

Let me know if the CB still works after you change them. I had read that it won't on some that I was looking at. Thanks.

Be careful loosening those set screws! They're short little buggers! Don't ask me how I know. BTW whats the best way to keep your rubber shortys from staying curled from being under a cover? I keep my bike covered at work due to the dust and the rubber antennas will stay curled up for days.
