Some will say just disconnect and ride. Cheers to those, I like the functionality available. I can still choose to turn everything off !
I have played around with different setups on my Goldwings, Ultras and now the Street Glide to get everything I need wirelessly through a headset.
In my who the hell cares sumncguy opinion, from a best bang for the (almost nill) buck and feature set perspective I suggest the following :
Everyone already has a cell phone.
Buy a Sena 20s which are very reasonably priced right now. (30s are out if you want up to date)
Install Waze for GPS on your cell.
Install Senas App to take and make calls.
Buy a usb adapter for the 12v outlet at the right of the faring to keep the phone charged.
Buy a short usb cable .. I would go as short as you can find. I tried to use a long one and it did get tangled around the bars. Short, wire wrap with just enough slack.
Add your music to a sim installed in your phone.
Pair the phone and Sena
DO NOT PAIR THE BOOM
Fire up the Sena app
Fire up Waze App
Fire up what every music app you use
You will now be wirelessly setup. The only real feature you loose is the ability to listen to incoming texts. One major downside is rain. I installed a 12v outlet in my bag. This setup does work if I need to move the phone into the bag but calls could be effected by weak signals. I can live with it given the cost and features available to me.
This is a very economical solution that provides 99.9 percent of the features that the Whim and or Freewire setup does.
Regards
Sum

I have Sena 10, and 20s and 30k... and I have CB, SIRIUSXM as well
I listen to the CB in the headset when I use it infrequently..., I can receive a phone call in the headset, but I choose to hear my music through my Boom.
im not sure why the suggestion about a San app. Sena has a utility app for configuration changes and the “ride connected” app which is their voice app to call others using the app. Think intercom tool. This works over the cell data network and has a bit a latency so I found it unusable for a group riding close together.
With the Sena paired to the phone I can voice control all the functions I need with Siri (iPhone) or Google (Android).
I will say that it took some messing around with all of the settings in order to use the Nav, XM, CB and iPhone... and communicate with other riders......but it 100% works with Sena 10, 20s and 30k wireless
