Default Windshield cleaning and protection

Just purchased a new windshield for my 2004 Road King Classic. What is the best and easiest way to clean and protect my polycarbonate windshield so as to avoid scratching?

I use plastic windshield cleaning products like novis and rain x plastic windshield "wax" with micro fiber clothes.

I use Harley Gloss and a microfiber rag. Spray, wipe/clean and let dry. Then buff with fresh microfiber. Work in the shade. Other cleaners like Bug Slide are good but make sure there is no ammonia in whatever you use.

Original Bike Spirits Spray Cleaner and Polish. It's the same formula as the old Honda formula.

2 micro fiber cloths, one wet with hot water, the other to dry the windshield off, pulls the bugs right off.

After six years of doing nothing but this my windshield still looks good. I don't let em sit more than a couple days though. Usually the next morning before I'm off again

I use Wizards Mist and Shine, it is safe for the windshield and all surfaces on the bike chrome, paint, plastic, glass (mirrors) etc... I have been using it for about 4 years now as my go to for quick detailing my bike. It releases bugs from the bike windshield with ease, basically spray it on wipe with a microfiber and bugs are gone. On the paint/chrome it leaves a very nice slick high gloss finish. It is also available on Amazon

Harley gloss works great and so does Lucas spray. Same stuff you use on your painted surfaces. Learned this trick years ago, spray lightly and wipe off immediately with a microfiber cloth. It will even give you some water repellent.

I simply wax (Turtle Shell) the windshield along with the rest of the bike once or twice a year. Then I use only water and a microfiber towel to get the bugs off.
