Don't use regular Rain-X on polycarbonate, it will ruin it!

I wax my wienshiels when I first get them with the wax I use on the paint.

As far as cleaning I use a product called Bug Slide. spray it on let it sit about 60 seconds and wipe with a soft micro fiber and all is good. The bug slide also is good on paint for bugs and puts a protective coating on anything you use it on making it easier the next time you use it. So the more you use it the easier it is the less product you need over time.

I keep a small bottle in my saddle bag to use on stops if the bugs are bad.

Zaino! And regularly. The one time (so far) I got caught in rain, the water flew off as quick as it went on.

I use Zaino on more than just the windshield though. I keep the whole bike polished with Zaino. It always brings complements on how nice it looks.

And as soon after your ride or dialy if tripin , I keep spray & several glass's mf wipes in & a coupple extra baggies (for durty rags) in swingarm bag , wash dirty out in hotel sink dry in morning for next day

Clearview sheilds does support Rain X original formula. Wouldn't recommend it unless mfg supports it.
