Ok folks need some advice. Riding through the black hills at Sturgis last week and my neutral light started intermittently coming on and off. After a while it stayed on and the red key light started coming on and off.
started troubleshooting the issue. Bike try’s to start and jumps when In gear, took out the switch tested and cleaned it real good. Even went as far as to change it out with a good one from another bike. Same issues.
next step is to consult the manual but I thought I would pick some brains here and see if others have had similar experiences.

thanks for any input.
man! I had the same exact thing happen to the exact same bike (2013 ultralimited) a few days ago. wonder if that's a bad omen or something. I was running for quite a while in 6th when I noticed it - blinking weirdly, then lit, then blinking...
in my case it went away on its own when I downshifted to 4th and then back to 6th... did not reocurred yet. I did move those wired for the 2 things that come from the top of the tranny then run under the starter and go somewhere (I guess one its the speed sensor and the other is neutral switch) for peace of mind.
I had the same thing happen on my old sportster once, and it was because I moved some wires when installing fwd controls... guess those old wires are prone to picking 'interference'
Had that problem on my ‘07. Replaced the neutral switch and 10min later problem solved. As others stated also quickly check the wires running from the switch to see all is ok.
Edit: read further and saw you replaced the switch...has to be wire somewhere. Did you do any upgrades recently? If not and it just happens out of the blue then I would bet wire issues somewhere.

Had the same problem with my 07 EGC, it was the neutral switch. First time it happened was bout 70000 miles ago when I took the bike above 10000 feet altitude. It gradually came on lower and lower altitude until I replaced it about 20000 miles ago. Issue hasn't appeared since.
