While riding place your left arm across your chest. Move it up and down, then forward and back. You'll likely find some wind is coming under the fairing. By moving your arm around you'll be able to identify one of the sources.
The dealers selling the KW should have a "test drive before you buy" program. When I test drove mine with a 6.5 flare, they didn't have to take it off. I'd buy another one but it's not for everyone so do the test drive before buying and save yourself some time and money if it's not a good fit for you.
then, as said, you need to look into windshields, I'm 5' 7" and had a good amount of buffeting at 40mph and above, I bought a 6.5" Klockwerks windshield, night and day difference, my music is louder, and it's a much more comfortable, and enjoyable ride now

yepper... lowers help alot.. shield bikes are tough.. just catch a huge amount of air and create that low pressure behind it... lower shields usually make it worse i think...my brother actually modified his shield by leaning it back a little... said it helped a bunch... i never could stop my head from rattling with my old vulcan .. full face helmet helped but who wants that in hot weather...
As stated, different windshield, fangs, maybe even lower fairings if desired. Plenty of options to try.
Safe bet this was NOT the bike you were "all ***** after 130 MPH?
LOL MotoJockey. I used to ride sport bikes as well and learned really quick it didnt matter the size of bike most people didnt know how to ride them or didnt have the ***** to ride them as they were meant to be rode. So I had a good friend that rode a Harley who would always watch people try to challenge me because I was on a 600. After I would out run them he would say its all ***** after 130. So its something that has always stuck. But yes you wont see me doing 130 on the street glide.
