Wish her the best. Really hope she will get used to it.
I am curious how I will do with my Monterey seat. My wife doesn't ride with me that much, but she hated stock seat and I don't blame her. The passenger seat is almost non-existent. I got her a nice 14 inch pad. But for me, most of the time, that thing will be off.
When I went to Vegas with my best man for my bachelor's party, we rented bikes. This was a first time for me to rent a bike and I went with.... *gulp*...Indian Scout. Don't ask why, I liked it at that time. I was afraid to ride a big "grandpa" bike with a fairing and bags. Omg, my *** was hurting so ****ing bad. It got to the point where I could not ride any longer. My tail bone would be numb after 15 minutes. It was horrible. I guess I had to pay the price for my stupid decision.
Funny! I did need to lower the floorboards for her as the former pillow-seat was a bit taller for her. The adjustment helped with her hip and knee comfort.
I am really liking the seat so far. But I gotta make momma happy if I want company.

Ive got just over 1,000 miles in my RT66. Its softened-up a bit and definitely working for me. I love it and Im happy.
Unfortunately my wife, who has about 500 miles on-board so far, is still finding that its too firm a seat for her. Weve got 1,500 miles planned this weekend - hoping this helps...
Custom- comfort!
This is our quick-fix while on this trip. Ill probably order an air-hawk for her if the seat doesnt soften up to her liking.
It's hard enough to find a seat (see what I did there) that the driver likes, let alone driver + passenger, I was about to suggest something like you've already done, good job. Your seat looks great.
I don't have many miles on my Lepera yet, been riding a carbon road bicycle in some great weather. Wanna talk about a firm seat, the Lepera is plush compared to what's on my other 2 wheeler!

I carry the butt buffer pad, as a just-in-case when I ride some long hauls. My LePera solo seat is comfy, but this helps on the all day several days x-country hauls. A riding buddy likes sheepskin pads, but I like my butt buffer.
Ordered mine yesterday from J&P Cycles, had been thinking on it for a long time and they are out of stock most everywhere so I didn't want to risk missing out. It will be here Tuesday and I'll get a good chance to break it in on a 600 miler we have planned for the following Sunday. Here's to hoping it's as good as everyone says it is.
