I don't have personal input on either, my nephew had the Yaffe bars on his Road Glide and liked them. They are expensive and often out of stock. I looked at the Factory 47 bars, they get good reviews as well, but are also costly. I ended up going with KST 10" Mayhems, they were priced nice and the quality is amazing! I'm really happy with them
I had a set of the Yafee Monkey bars on my 08 FLHX and really liked them. A lot of people thought that they sat or looked a bit higher than what they were advertised i.e the 10' were more like 12'. Wiring was a real pain in the butt. Good luck with your choice.
I have the Factory 47 14" bars on my 19 SGS, and had Yafee 12" on my old Electra Glide. Both are good bars, but the Yafee bars were a chore to get the wiring run through them. The Factory 47 bars were on my SGS when I bought it new last May, so I can't say how difficult the wiring would be, but the reports here seem to indicate it's not that bad.
I have two bikes right now with Yaffe Monkey Bars 14". I have run them since 2012 on my bikes. When the 15 road glides came out Yaffe said 3 months, at 3 month they said another month, at 4 months they said another month. The Factory 47's were realized for the 15 Road glides, so thats what I got for the 15 CVO Road Glide Ultra. Very nice finish on the,
As soon as I picked the bike up from the dealer install, I accused them of ordering 12" bars rather then 14". The bars just felt short. After checking they did order 14" and got 14" inch factory 47 bars.
So do Yaffe run tall, or 47 run short? I think its the 47 run short. Its 1.5" difference in hight between the two 14" bars.
I prefer the Hight and width of the of the Yaffe. The 47's are about 1.5 inches to 2 inches wider. Both are very comfortable for 600 plus mile days. I do like the beefier look of the 47's, but the comfort of the Yaffe wins for me.
For newer people to the Harley scene, know that Yaffe Monkey Bars were the first bars on the Market for baggers with the points on them. F47 and all these other companies are merely knock off artists capitalizing on someone else's creativity. It used to be back in the day that Yaffe bars were always on back order (which is I'm sure why all these other bar makes sprung up), but it's always nice to see someone get the original and be proud to support an innovator.
I am not a fan of F47 bars as my newest Glide ahd a set on it when I bought and it they are way to effing wide. These were the Legacy apes in 14". 40" wide bar end to bar end. That's great if you're 6'10" with a wingspan like a bald eagle, taht however is not me. OTher friends have had F47's aso and I don't like the curve down or the hand grip angle on the grip portion of the bars. I prefer a bar with minimal pullback so my wrists can rest as they do naturally straight ahead,. I cannot figure out why most bars have a lot of pullback. All it does for me is make my wrists hurt.
Depending on your bike yes, you can tilt the bars forward or backward a bit to try and eliminate this, however on anything but a Road KIng in the touring section your movement is limited due to the fairing. Anyway, ge t the Yaffe's. He's a righteous dude who really is a Harley fanatic and a very talented builder. I think he deserves your money more than F47. They're just knock off artists.
The Yaffee bars run taller than what they are listed. They are very nice bars! I now have on my newer bike with KST 10" Mayhems they are true to size and are excellent bars and are priced much less! The quality are very good and customer service is top shelf!
My current build will be wearing Factory 47 x 12” bars. I did the homework and learned that F47 does a great job of cleaning up the wire holes, welds, etc. I looked at both bar sets and the F47 bars suited my riding stance and preferred hand position better. The Yaffe bars are of course good bars, but they’re not going to be everyone’s choice. I’m glad there are several companies out there competing and making quality bars.

Did you look at both bars side by side? Im curious how the wrist angle compares to the yaffes. Ill be swapping out the yaffes for something else this winter.
