took a good long ride on the weekend, and towards the end of the ride,
everytime i would come to a stop, the rpms would drop well below
the norm, and it would stall out....started right up again no problem,
then once it was home and had been off for a while, i started it and it
was fine again....same thing this morning, got about 4 blocks no problem,
then back to the crappin out again....
anyone experience this ? or have any thoughts on the subject.
thanks
Bill
I have noticed the same thing with my SG. It seems if I hold it at a steady rpm then pull the clutch in it stalls. I havent been able to get a reproducible case for the dealer though.
stalls if i put it in neutral, stalls as i roll to a stop.....was actually funny the first
time....downshifted coming to a stop, pulled in the clutch, applied the brakes
and then a silent roll to a stop....that little voice in my head said , oh thats not good....
of course this has to happen 200 miles from home, and no cell signals in the mountains....
started again, same this next stop....just had the 1000 mile tune up and i see there might be
throttle position issues, or a sensor, or some such stupidity i never had with my carb. fatboy....
i hate electronics more than vegetables...
I have had the same problem when you pull in the clutch it would die, now when i pull up to a stop it will drop to 700rpm and back fire if i try to give it fuel. The dealer ship told me to get a race tunner to fix the problem i do have a stage 1 kit with a 1450 race down load did not staop problem..
tryin to get an appointement with the dealer here in montreal....thats kinda like
tryin to get an audience with the pope....i have about the same chance.
cause its gonna suck to try and drive this home in bumper to bumper
traffic, and keep the rpms up, ect ect....feels good to whine about things sometimes.
Bill
my SG also did that too, when i install my thunderheader slip on, i change the pilot jet to 45, and change the main jet to 200.......no stall anymore.....
