I took the stabilizer link off today to inspect and clean up. While link installed in bike, the link was impossible to move using my fingers, but using pliers it would swivel some. Now that the link is off the bike, I can move the bushing in the link with now problem. Using my fingers.
So possible that the motor isn't inline with the rear wheel? The motor mounts look good.I didn't get a chance to put it back on yet, so hopefully the motor didn't move.
1993FXSTS,
I'm thinking buy the time that it will take me to make my stabilizer link adjustable, I'll buy one and save the time. Any how, how do you like the true track, front and rear ? Other than being able to correct the track, did you notice improved handling? I look at true track kinda expensive, but if handling is improved it's money well spend.
Thanks All
I love the true track system! Best handling improvement I've done yet. My rear end always felt like a wallowing whale in corners. The True Track eliminated almost all of it. The front True Track allows you to align the wheels on the horizontal plane. An adjustable upper engine mount allows you to align on the vertical plane. Getting rid of the rear air shocks and installing Ohlins has helped a lot too. I'm not a footboard dragger, but I do like to feel stable in spirited cornering!
