Default LED Headlight and Driving lights

I own a 2007 Electraglide Ultraclassic. I am wanting to upgrade the headlight and driving lights with LED lights. I’m a bit of an idiot when it comes to lights and I’m not even sure how to begin or even where to start looking. Can one of you more experienced members help a brother out? I really appreciate it!

Check out the Custom Dynamics website. You'll likey need a load equalizer for that model year as well. You could take your changes on ebay or Amazon, but really, you're best bet will be the professionals that know what to sell you at CD. They make great stuff.

I bought a set of generic led replacement bulbs from another member here a few years ago. Daytime visibility improvement was huge, that’s all I was after anyway cause I don’t ride at night. It was a simple bulb swap that was dirt cheap. You can spend 50 bucks or 500 bucks, up to you.
you can also change your front turns to led switchbacks, which are white running lights that switch to amber turn signals when signaling, then back to white. All of this adds up to five bright white lights on my front end. I’m highly visible.

Driving - Clearwater Darlas have been pretty awesome - I originally put them on my 09 FLHX for Sturgis 2015. They took the lighting up to eleven. They have a few different models, but the Darlas are the right balance of bright and size profile [IMO]. They also have a sensing wire to sense High Beam. When the high beam goes on, they go beyond their adjustable range to SUPER Bright. The adjustability is done through Pulse Width Modulation, so not as inefficient or heat-generating as a rheostat dimmer, but it's dimmable.

Headlight - I can't remember exactly when I bought it, but I bought the Harley-Davidson HID set. What was weird, is the HID was on the low beam, and it came with a halogen high beam. I quickly changed it out for an aftermarket H8 HID lamp and if memory serves it is a 50W. Good thing I only use it off-road. I would go Harley-Davidson LED or JW Speaker, but that's me.

Turn signals - All LED, I think the company was Radientz, and the load equalizer was from BadLands. Swill working and still bright. I don't care for Halos though. You will need a load equalizer for the turn signal lights. Mine was a 2009 and I need it.

Tail Light - BAL 2S. It's crazy bright. like the Blues Brothers said, "It's got a cop [taillight]..."

I also had the Custom Dynamics Dynamic Strips on my FLHXSE. They were cool, and switched to white when not turning [turn signals were amber]. They were pretty bright and aided in the front light "profile."

Safety and night riding. I have to ride in the dark for an IBA, and sometimes on a road trip you end up in the dark.

I'm thinking of the Custom Dynamics saddlebag insert lights and fork lights - but all in good time.

Good luck with your venture.

At the risk of sounding like a Custom Dynamics fanboy, I'm pretty happy with their products. I changed out the headlight and passing lamps for their Trubeam w/ Halos. They weren't the cheapest lights, but they do have a lifetime warranty. I still need to swap out the turn signals and I even bought an adapter from CD to enable the passing lamps to work when the high beams are on.

I have the H-D LED reflector passing and headlights on my King. They are 7 years old and are not as bright as the current offerings, so I'm ready to change them out. I'm currently looking at Custom Dynamics, as I bought their turns and brake lights. I haven't installed those yet. The high beams on my current setup isn't very bright, so reason why I'm looking.

As mentioned, you'll need a load equalizer for your bike. Once you get the front lights, then you'll want to get the turns and brakes.

I went with the Sunpie on mine and I love them. I got the headlight and passing lights and they plugged right in with no issues.

I also went the Sunpie route, they were easy to install and a vast improvement at night. I did end up modifying the harness to allow the driving lights to stay on when the high beam is on. The driving lights throw so much usable light.

Just installed Hogworkz with halo. Went like Papa into Mama. (Plug and play). Much better than with the halogen bulb.
