Odometer issue! Help!

well i'm having this problem with odometer adding miles, just ddid a 600 mile trip that registered over 6000 miles, checked all the wiring and finally undone the battery and it did ok, then drove it across the driveway to wash it and it put on 1000 miles.2013 ultra classic with a 104,000 miles now showing 111,000. Medallion guages been in for 7 years. not going to sell, just like to keep up with miles on trips and for service
