Default What models could be turned into a 2017 Road King Police Special?

I have a friend that rides a 2017 Road King police edition. It has the 107ci motor, and the single seat, etc. I'd like to buy one, but the only one I can find has 40k on the odometer. Is there a different model that I could get that would handle the same way, or I could modify to handle the same? I want to do the cone competition stuff that he does, and I want this bike to be set up so we could ride each other's bikes and they would handle the same with the same amount of ground clearance, etc. Thanks in advance!!!

Find any stock 2017 or newer Road King, and add the police seat , or buy a new one. https://www.harley-davidson.com/us/e...nt/police.html

Hey man thanks for the quick reply. Is there no other different to the chassis other than the seat? Like the shocks are the same, ride height, wheelbase, etc?

I think the Police bikes only have a HEAVIER DUTY CHARGING SYSTEM due to equipment added. I had 2 RK and retired my 2010 EG and turned it into a Streetglide. Keeping it forever, its my SOUL MATE [ ;-) ]. Got the DEMON out of it when it was brand new and lived through it.

Okay, thanks Jeff! I just am wanting the same ground clearance and lean angle, so it's good to know its the same bike beside a bigger alternator.

Used police bikes are all over, cheap. I saw a ‘16 Road King Police with 30,000 miles sell for $8500 recently. There are M8 models out there as well.

Kudos on wanting to practice and compete. That’s kinda my thing too. I compete on a ‘19 FLHTP.

By the way...who is your buddy? If he competes there is a good chance I may know him.
