I suppose if you really need up to 3" of additional room it's not a bad idea. Hopefully allowing a large passenger to sit up to 3" farther back won't mess up or change the handling characteristics of the motorcycle.

Nothing that I noticed. We’re both over 6’ tall and by the time I make all the tall person mods it doesn’t leave much passenger room. I’ve gone out with us and fully loaded with gear including stuff lashed to the top of the tour pack and haven’t noticed any poor handling. Now I’m also not carving canyon roads with us loaded down like that but we did ride the length of the blue ridge parkway.

I picked up the same unit TRAINEDMKY is showing at a garage sale, and it also works well to hide my plate from toll cameras! Really easy install with adjustability.
