Default Handy storage options for Street Glide

I have a pre-Rushmore (2013) Street Glide, with some aftermarket windshield pouches. They're a great place to stow things like sunglasses and wipes, garage door opener, little flashlight, earplugs, and so on that I might need at a stop when I don't want to dig into the saddlebags. Unfortunately, they're also right where I want to park my Garmin. I can run the power cable from the 'firewall' penetration on the inside fairing, and keep it mounted up there where I don't have to look away from the road to check it. What are some storage alternatives for easy access to little riding tchotchkes, if I ditch the windshield pouches for the GPS?

Ebay fairing lowers. I keep all the stuff you mentioned in mine.

If you use the GPS where the middle pouch is now, you could use
these these
dual windshield pouches.

The dealer mentioned the Hopnel pouches too. I might try to do something like that by cutting the Kuryakyn ones that are already on there, first.
Thanks for the suggestions, guys.

so far, the single most convenient and easy way to grab stuff has been the tour pack.....i bought it with the intention of using it for touring, it's so easy and convenient to use, I keep it on permanently

fits anything from a pair of goggles to a bucket of chicken
