Make sure that the slip-ons you are using are the right ones for your header pipes. The ID of the slip-on pipe where it goes onto the header pipe should match the OD of the header pipe.
1. Use a new set of HD TORCA clamps.
2. Run a small bead of high temp gold gasket goop (technical term) around the inside end of the slip-on where it will fit over the header pipe.
3. Position the clamps so that the back edge of the clamp (toward the engine) lines up with the back edge of the slip-on.
4. Tighten the TORCA clamps to 60 ft-lbs.
