I need to remove both wheels to bring in for new tires. I have the blue HF aluminum jack and have had both wheels off individually, not at the same time. I usually take the seat off and run a ratchet strap over the bike and tie to the jack. I usually position the jack so one wheel stays on or close to the ground. This time i will have to jack from the middle and will probably have to lift the bike pretty high as well.
Has anyone had both wheels off using this method? Is there any added precautions i should take?
Buy an extra rear wheel. I got one cheep for my 09 FLHTCU. Always keep a new tire on it and swap it out when you need it. Makes tire changing a bit easier for me to do one at a time.
BTW I have Pit Bull Lift.

I think hes misunderstanding the confusing labeling. The jack is rated for 1500, not simply the hydraulic cylinder. If the hydraulic cylinder were rated or limited to 1500 lbs, it wouldnt even lift his Victory.
Hydraulic cylinders are very geometric with regards to lifting power. The 4 ton cylinder hes hoping to use looks geometrically identical. And on the jack, 1500 lbs lifting force is about the max capacity it would have with the arm geometry.
Agreed, He is using the same jack. Force = Area x pressure
I have the old yellow HF jack and never had an issue with the VTX. I also have a U-Shaped stand I can put under the bike and lower it onto from the stand.
