Yeah, it doesn’t look that bad. I will give you guys a full report once I ride it. I will keep an eye on temp reading from power vision. I am curious to see the difference, if any. The way these things look, it should block out a lot of wind.

I think I"ve tried almost every combo imaginable except removing the lowers. In order of what had the most impact in my experience it's:

1- no full-face helmet. I can't stand 1/2 helmets so 3/4 it is. Made a HUGE difference in buffeting
2- JES fairing fangs. They fit and work well with lowers. Black makes them nearly invisible against the rest of the bike.
3- a recurve shorty windscreen. Settled on Windvest but as long as I can see over it and it's recurve it does the job (and looks great in smoked grey)
4- the lower triple tree thing. I don't even know if it made any difference at all actually. No matter the combo it's last on my last for effectiveness. I only include it as it was a mod intended to reduce buffeting.

Went for a short spin both on the freeway at 75mph and streets around 45-50. I have to say, it’s a drastic improvement. All wind that would previously hit my face is gone. All of it. As if I could smoke a cigar while riding on the freeway. Keep in mind this is with 6.5 inch KW screen. I am 5’10” and I ride little bit reaching due to my bars being too far away. I think if I went to 8.5 inch or 10 inch screen, I would totally block out all wind. FYI, going from 6.5 inch KW screen to 8.5 inch will give you 1 inch rise, not 2 as you would think.

I still “feel” wind on top and sides of my head but Jesus, it’s a motorcycle lol. I am just happy it’s not as remotely violent as before.

I did notice a whistle lol. It’s a good thing it doesn’t bother me, but it might bother some. It’s not loud at all but it’s there. So keep that in mind.

Temperature wise, I will need little more time, but, I think it “might” run a little hotter. I saw 315 degrees engine temp on my PV. It’s 64 degrees outside. I saw my temperature lower at higher outside temps, but I will keep an eye on it.

I am keeping them. The biggest improvement I see is street riding. 45-50mph these things are awesome.

I think you are going to be happy. But, do not expect zero wind at all times. You will still get some but not nearly as much. Like I mentioned, mostly from the lower face area. Really all I can feel now is little bit on top of my forehead and temples.

I installed the black JES fangs on my RKS a few weeks ago. I, like many, didn't like the looks of them from what I saw in pictures. The only ones I saw in person were all on chromed bikes. However, the buffeting was driving me nuts! So I caved and decided to try them. When I installed the black fangs on my blacked out front end, I actually was surprised when I thought they looked pretty good. I think they definitely look better on blacked out bikes versus the chrome bikes. Probably because they blend in so well on the blacked out bikes. And, what a huge difference in buffeting. It is virtually non existent now, even at speeds of 80 plus. Now my head doesn't get bounced around like a shaken paint can! The wind noise is so much less, too.
I am curious as to your Powervision temp readings as you ride in hotter weather. I was also concerned about the engine running hotter with the fangs. It doesn't really feel any hotter on my right leg, but I'm interested in actual temperature readings. I would also be curious as to how it affects engine temps if the fangs are combined with soft lowers, since I will be putting the soft lowers back on my bike when the temperatures get colder in the fall.

@603Hog to confirm....what I meant regarding the temperature was that, I noticed the PV showing over 300 degrees temperature when I was riding in 65 degrees weather. Without fangs, I saw over 300 degrees show on PV at much much higher outside temps. I live in Ohio, so I don't ride in very high temps, but from the first test, it looks like the fangs might contribute to little higher engine temp.

I will continue monitoring it as I ride during different outside temperatures. I have my PV mounted so I get live data. I have it set to change the temp gauge color to red when reaching 350 degrees. For the record, I have never reached that temperature last year, even riding in 90 degrees Ohio "heat". It will be interesting to see with the fangs.
