Has anyone replaced their stock turn signal switches with the longer extension cap ones? I replaced mine today, turn signals work perfect but then noticed i am unable to push the "interior" buttons which is voice command on the left and information on the right.
I don't use voice commands and hardly ever use the information function so it's not a huge deal. But I am guessing since the extension caps are longer, you lose the ability to "push in" and use those functions? Make sense??
I had the same issue while installing. Your switch housing is cocked a bit to one side or the other and binding. Loosen screws wiggle housing and retighten screws evenly should do it. my 2 cents...
Silly question, but--you don't somehow have them mounted backward, by any chance? Just seemed unlikely both sides would be misaligned and binding, as suggested above, but without pics or maybe some further clarification we're just guessing.
I found that on a 2016, there is a tab on the new the button that needs to be removed ( cut off) for it work properly. A friend bought them and lost two, thinking that he had them on properly, when in fact that tab kept them from properly seating and working. I have them on my 2019 and the tab didn't need to be removed, go figure.
All good answers! I'll try working on it today. Regarding them being possibly backwards, I thought the sane thing, but then they would be upside down. So there's only one correct way for them to go on. I think... lol. I'll take a look at it today. Thanks again everyone for the input. Much appreciated!
