Default Saddlebag lights

Anyone every transfer their Harley LED saddlebag lights to a different style saddlebag? It's for my '17 SGS. I would like to transfer my Harley LED saddlebag lights to my new Advanblack saddle bags. There are no bolts or screws on the inside the saddlebags. Maybe to strong azz double-sided tape??? Thank you for any help or ideas to transfer the lights.

When you buy the lights new, they come with 3M double-sided tape. There are no bolts or screws.

I bought the bike used a few months ago and they were already on the bike. Thank you very much for helping me. I'll use a little Goof Off, between the saddlebag and the light and they should come loose.

It may not be that easy. A little heat from a hair dryer to soften the tape and some fishing line might be a better alternative. Just be carful with the heat on the paint.

You can saw them off with dental floss. Getting the new tape on the old lights isn't fun!

For the new bags, get the polish of the area the lights are gonna stick to... you can detail it later. I got some waterproof/weatherproof 3M double-sided tape (1" wide) that I used to replace the tape on a set of the HD slot lights, when the tape that came on them gave up. They never moved again, and was bit of a pain to get to release when I took them off the bike.

I turned one saddlebag over and poured Goo Gone (I don't have any Goof Off) between the light and the saddlebag. Letting it soak into the tape and hopefully "saw off" the light in the morning.

Started back working on removing these lights at 5:30 am EST...

I successfully removed one, no scratches or cracks. Soaking the other light/saddlebag with Goo Gone right now, will give it some time and remove it. Thanks for all the help and stay safe.

George
